On the streets of Istanbul

Istanbul, 2018

The more you travel the more you want to travel. That’s why me and Linda was looking for a quick get away within a reasonable budget. Turkey had never really been on our radar as we have heard that it’s to touristy and a lot of scammers, that might apply more to the resorts perhaps instead of Instanbul. Well we took a change and left for Istanbul.

We were completely wrong about Istanbul, it was so very very awesome, the food, the sights and everything was so great in this city right on the border of Europe and Asia. Ok well not all was great, we had a little bit of rain one day.

As we always do we started walking around everywhere, several hours at an end and where we usually walk past the tourist spots because of queues we managed to actually see a few like the Sultan Ahmed Mosque also known as the Blue Mosque which was located right outside our nice hotel, it’s call to prayer setting the mysterious atmosphere for our trip.

Besides the mosque we of course visited the famous bazaar, the Basilica Cistern and every part of the city we had the time to go to.The food was beyond good, the baklavas was amazing and the service minded people was great. I never thaught I would say these words but I sure wouln’t mind going back to Istanbul.
