My first trip to London took place in February 2010, eight years later I’m trying to remember what took place. I know I had the pleasure to travel with my old friend Dan and his then girlfriend, now the mother of his child.
As you might see I looked a bit different back then, or as my wife Linda would say… Undateable. That would of course not stop me from enjoying exciting London.
My first memory of London is the landing, flying with RyanAir I remember that the pilot landed the plane hard, trying to crash the plane for insurance money hard. Given that the cost for the flight were next to free that’s bound to happen I suppose.
Then we had the hotel, well it had four walls and a ceiling which was nice but that was it. Luckily you only need it for sleeping and I suppose that London has a lot of restaurants so you don’t really have to eat the hotel breakfast.
London was and is an exciting city, I could easily walk around hours at an end, enjoying the food, the atmosphere and the scenery. I saw so much, like the queue to the Eye of London, the queue to Madame Tussauds and much much more, all with queues even in February.
Passing the queues I never really felt I missed out, was figures just never excited me that much, still we managed to enjoy the city to the fullest, recording dinosaur erotica and eating misogynist candy.
