Saint Petersburg, 2017
So we had talked about marrying each other some day, I had been looking around how to marry outside of Sweden but that turned out to be a hazzle unless you’re Christian. In Sweden however you can have a civil marriage. Well I decided to surprise Linda, we had booked tickets to Saint Petersburg so I just asked her to sign the papers so we could send them to the government to get an ok which they only do if you’re not related, thankfully we weren’t. I then booked Rolf to marry us at Arlanda airport. We had asked for the short ceromy which we got and the best part was that Champagne and chocolates were included and it seemed really good because Linda smiled when she gave me the empty bottle and the papers from the chocolate box.
From there we flew to Saint Petersburg and when we arrived at the hotel they askes us why we were dressed so nicley, we explained and they gave us a bottle wine and some delicious pastry which we happily stuffed into are faces before changing and hitting the town.
Per usaul we walked all over town, all in all a great looking city but really mixes quaint streets with what looked like a desrted war zone. Going there in early spring the city was kind fo grey but still beautiful and the sights are marvelous.
Words can hardly explain the beauty of this city and photos hardly makes it justice.
Walking around during the day we got into a party mode and booked a pub crawl. We managed to time it kind of poorly just right between two big holidays so it was kind of a slow night life but still we managed to have great fun. Well the last place was very sleazy at this night club where a bunch of fat man sat by tables drooling while all the women danced eroticly on the bar. It felt more like we were at a zoo than in a bar.
Going out on our own after that we found this rock bar so Linda could let loose which was great but I think the best part was this Armenian restaurant. There were a wedding in the big room so we sat in the glased in veranda, it started to snow and the service and food were so amazing we didn’t want to leave. We are coming back and this time we are bringing Lindas parents to show them this great city.
